Wrong question jopo, re which datasource
every scientific look at the data sources has said they are problematic for upper atmosphere conclusions on water vapour
and they have gone to a lot of trouble to work around the limitations of the data
and explicitly stated that use of the reanalyses is with caution as described in the relevant papers
it's only you that wants to be overly simplistic
The right question is, jopo or the scientists
not much doubt about that one
