Well there is plenty to drink at Siana .its interesting to follow that part of the discussion regarding the new bores in and surrounding the pit..some saying they won't work others that they will etc. for whatever reason
When Mrs Robertson from Newcastle East Public School was given the responsibility of teaching young William the 3R's in the early 50's she didn't have all that much to work with but at least she taught him to read so its interesting to read all the arguments fore and against as well as what the company is proposing to achieve as detailed in the last quarterly.Now I'm a failed banker not a mining engineer or a hydrogologist so I dont know but it seems to me sensible to capture the water flows before they reach the pit rather than after.
The fact that they were recently able to intersect the old mine workings 100mtrs below the eventual (repeat eventual) pit floor shows what they could contain the waters in the old days. With better pumps etc these
days it should be so much easier.

My understanding the previous mine owners closed the mine was not the water but the price of gold.

Cheer up everyone in 12 months all this doom and gloom will be behind us and most of us will be laughing. Even those who paid $2 plus will have their money back.
