Why is Lilac Solutions (Waterleaf resources) targeting the Great Salt Lake in Utah?
The resource is super low grade (50mg/L). Lilac have already indicated they are expecting lower recoveries (50-90%). So why target this resource? Why not target The Smackover?
Utah is a dry state. Annual rainfall in Utah is approx 280mm/year.
We know from the DFS, that Kachi expects to use approximately 2GL fresh water for the first 2 years, and 500ML fresh water after that. So Lilac will be wanting to draw vast amounts of fresh water for a plant at the Great Salt Lake. Where will the water come from?
