last week from bigW and towards the end of the day, watso took the last 15.. lol lol the next day there were more - and watso could not resist ... anyway 100 gm lindt 90% cocoa (supreme dark) @$1.62 each
and this morning from the REJECT shop ... and an offer that watso could not reject .. 150gm cadbury OLD GOLD easter bunnies @ $1 each .. watso backed up his pushie and stocked up
while watso was at the shops - he was looking at the price of breakfast cereal .. most of the products are totally overpriced in relation the food in the packet .. and most of them have a lot of added extra sugar (weet bix type products are good - and generic products are good value.. and with very little sugar)
watso has previously posted about rolled oats .. these days watso is using about 150 gm of rolled oats (cheap generic brand ), with about 40gm of full cream milk powder - in a 600ml vacuum food flask - and about 500ml of boiling water .. .. stir around, lay on its side - pour into a bowl and add SULTANAS ... (generic brand = $5/kg and product of turkiya ) the sultanas are a magic ingredient , which turn bland oats into a taste sensation
a great, and nutritious , way to start the day ..
total cost is about $1 .. and milk powder would be the biggest component .. but there is a lot of goodness in milk
