ok watso did something a bit different this time...
today watso precooked (ie fried) the diced bacon (about 500 grams) .. then added about 1kg of onions so sauteed/fried the onions and bacon .. and just added some crushed garlic/ginger (from a 1kg jar) ..
the stock was made from beef bones (in the pressure cooker for about 1.5 hours) - and the other vegetable (apart from the onion) was about 2kg of sweet potato ..
tastewise - but watso prefers soup stock from chicken bones - in preference to beef bones - but the bone content is different .
anyway plenty of minerals in beef bones - and with plenty of onions and the fried bacon - the soup was awesome (and super healthy) .. and of course the sweet potato
