Hi CMK
Thanks for your reply and yes you did achieve your goal of of being objective/subjective and I do appreciate your effort and response.
Yes we have met personally and have the greater advantage of knowing each other a little better than others who only have our posts to go by. I too know having met you know that you take your investment and Hotcopper seriously, which is why I always take the time to read your posts, regardless of the fact there are times we disagree.
But for public record I always include you and Jase on top of a list I give out to new investors, which is why I was rudely awakened by what appeared to be an ultimatum, a shot across the bow when you stated that the next 12 months would make or break this company and between you and Jase you seem to clearly state that the company needed to replace certain members of the board because it had not achieved what they should have after 13 years. ( yes I do have a different view now)
But seriously from my perspective from what you have told me, I felt this was a little unfair considering that we both are sitting on a substantial profit that has occured during those 13 years and that is the result of the current BOD.
Now for those reading this post, I cannot possibly fully appreciate what it's like to be sitting on a paper loss, but I agree it would definitely influence your view of OBJ and it's BOD. But understand it can also be stressful sitting on a substantial profit after nine years, to then have OBJ go belly up this would be quite painful, so I do believe that between CMK's and Jaces perspective and mine, I hope we can achieve a more balanced perspective, as this post is not being written just for us, but for others on Hotcopper.
My perspective about the next 12 months is influenced by the long and frequent phone calls I have had with Glyn and in his very own words recently stated that the company has achieved it's greatest goal so far, something vital to it's commercial future, they have won the total trust of P&G right from the top down and currently as a result this achievement is opening doors inside P&G's corporate community, as well as their competitors and has been achieved through the skills and strategic planning the direct result of the hard work fought for and won by OBJ's BOD.
I prefer Glyn's communication for the next 12 months or more, that the company us now transitioning from a research development company, to a commercialisation company and that we are at the beginning of the expansive roll out of new products, not one, but the beginning of many. But this will take it's time, as our business model does give them the freedom to do their own consumer testing and trials and Glyn shared with me that consumer trials take time and are very expensive and it was very encouraging to see so many companies, willing to spend the big dollars required to test our technologies.
We are on our way folks, but we are not a make or break company in the next 12 months, it maybe a make or break for some of us personally with respect to our own financial goals, but CMK and Jase, maybe I miss read you and maybe this Sunday exchange of strong words was necessary, but I did feel it was a warning shot an ultimatum and yes maybe I got it wrong and maybe my knee guard aah knee jerk reaction, may be just what we all needed to get a real grip on just exactly where we are.
I am keen to see what our little Aussie battler us about to achieve and especially the next 12 months and beyond, again thanks CMK for taking the time to give a clearer view of where you are coming from, it is vey much appreciated.
