If you had spare money to invest in wave power you could invest in one with the lowest cost of generation, or the best utilisation or the best efficiency or the best capacity factor.

Or you could just throw a dart at a dartboard, because investors dont know any of those metrics about any wave power generator. And therein lies the reason for the low shareprices. Alternatively if investors did know those metrics, the shareprices might be even lower.
