There is probably some truth to MEL looking at the Carnarvon basin. Two of the Board members and PH come from an offshore background. They are probably more comfortable looking at offshore options. Grass is always greener.....
I hope they aren't though. MEL has no expertise in offshore and no competitive advantage against the big boys. The Chairman of MEL Nick Heath and Greg Short are both on the board of MEO and MEO has drilled 5 failed offshore exploration wells in a row. Hardly a track record of success.
They should be drilling Rosella. When is this happening?
