Van Eck percentage was due to the increased SOI in 20 June when the merger was finalised. They have only reduced ~ 1M shares out of their huge holding.
60M shares traded today is nothing, REd used to trade 30M a day and now there are twice as many SOI.
The price drop today is disappointing when there are no external issues, other goldies up, lots of M&A rumours etc. But I reckon it’s just disaffected SLR and RED shareholders selling, and of course selling begets more selling.
Be good of LT to come out and outline his vision for the company, tell us the reasons to hold, should’ve had this ready to go on day 1 in the job.
