Free Wifi is not such a costly high tech service, it is around us already. I live in a Sydney suburb, and have access to them from libraries, McDonalds, etc for quite sometime. I haven't heard such service providers going bankrupt.
I haven't seen GCN's wifi business plan, and don't know whether GCN can find the right balance between the service they provide (speed, contents, etc) and the ad revenue. You seems to be convinced they are doomed to fail in their wifi service, but sorry for my ignorance can you provide more details regarding your conviction, other than IPad or mobile internet users will not be interested?
I hold a light position in gcn (bought in last Friday), would welcome your opinion to evaluate my investment/trading risks.
