I think that you are a little pessimistic. Australia produces a lot of gas and consumes only 27%.
I am hoping that Australia's interest is paramount, and that government is not driven solely by foreign income on one hand or green ideology on the other.
I expect a gradual and orderly change from export to domestic usage as long term contracts expire by 2024, while still maintaining a modicum of credibility with existing customers.
Only a pragmatic approach by government will be successful. IMO.
