    I can't see any logical reason you'd want to keep shorting STX after it has already experienced a very large sell-off event. We are also producing strong revenues, so CR risk is limited.
    The three main explanations for short-selling that I can think of are: a). bog-standard bot activity (with related-party transactions reported as short sales. 2). speculation/preparation for exiting the ASX 200, or 3). straight-up manipulation pending a takeover offer.
    Might be a combination of all three.
