There are some truly great brains of Australian origin. The problem with government handout initiatives is that they just attract a lot of free loaders just there for a ride. Take the home insulation scheme or WA inc or NDIS and a bunch of other well intended initiatives. It is often better to save the government purse for what they can do well and simply provide the environment so that those brainy individuals can thrive and bring to fruition the industries that are spoken about without red tape and uncertainty. sorry this was a bit off subject.
