    The thing with the Greens is that they have enough power to influence policies, but not enough overall presence to be blamed for anything. There are two ways the power price will play out. (1) It will be suppressed by keeping the coal power plants up for much longer, but that will see our emission target go out the window. (2) Power price will surge as regulatory uncertainties and approval gridlock see result in underinvestment and further gas price rise. Wait and see - the delusional Greens will find a way to blame everyone else but pad themselves for a job well done.

    To be fair to those who voted for them, the rise of the Greens can be attributed to the lack of an appealing alternative at times.

    As I have said before, I admire people who wants to serve but it also takes a special type of personality to thrive in the political game of maneuverings and back-stabbings.
