Some important context - power prices have been surging for the last 17 years. (particularly under Labor governments)
The price of electricity has been increasing 2.5x faster than inflation since ~2007.
The problem has gotten so bad that state AND federal governments are handing out billions per year in direct consumer subsidies.
Our governments should not be contributing over $5-10 billion per year to pay our power bills.
