Swan accusing Opposition of engendering a "scare campaign" against Carbon Tax is a very bad (Irish) joke. He states this carbon dioxide tax will only affect the big polluters! And that the Liberal Party are spreading fear doing this not even knowing what this will cost households.
Precisely Mr. Swan! Seems as Federal Treasurer even you have no clue about what the final cost and impact will be on households (yet) either - yet you are rushing to legislate this in, without any mandate or public inout or consultation.
If you, Mr. Swan, or we, don't know the full ghastly details of costings and subsequent likely effects on people's pockets, or how long this tax will run? (*forever is my guess) how the hell do you think we'd be agreeing to it. How can we be assured these monies will NOT end up in general revenue.
