With IG, your stop will get hit if the bid (if a short stop) or ask (if a long stop) price reaches the level of your stop, regardless of what the trade price is. So if you are loooking at chart, during cash open on the aussie200 for example, you need to add or subtract half the spread (aussi200 = 2 points, so subtract 1) from the price level on the chart to account for the spread.
If you are certain that this should not have happened give them a call.
