Yes, I would like to agree. But there is a problem. These capital raising are done at huge discounts ... so if the instos make let's say 10% on 5 billion ... I would say that's a nice profit. So they sell their allocation of the pie as quickly as possible and and take the delivery once the shares are allocated. Don't forget, they can sell 'artificially' Stockland shares right now, event though the stock is in trading halt. I think this is what is currently happening.
Does anybody have access to a Bloomberg terminal? Would be intersting to know what santo's and stockland's market weight in the xjo is.
