I did mention numerous times there are a few ways what the company can do to drive up the SP.
For this piece of news, i'm 99.99%sure it was in the works since April, probably QHL directors had a meeting to determine to engage KPMG to help restructure or look for M&A opportunities and stop the slide in the SP. Directors buying is something you need to be very carefully, as most of the time there is a reason, and not done randomly.
KPMG has a stellar track record, and I would not hesitate to say they probably are undertaking some form of due diligence or have a strategy already developed to extract the true value of QHL. Equally important is that there is a non-disclosure and that is why no ASX announcements. Only a shap, breakout of the SP would make ASX question and all would be revealed. I would try to reach out to my old mates and see if there are any plausible deals/rumors on QHL.
From my experience, a PE firm should be at the forefront in terms of a buyout as opposed to other possibilities, as the company is stable and very predictable as the contracts are concentrated and govt. backed (related). The market cap. is deeply undervaluing this fact..
PE would probably be able to instill cost savings and repackage QHL the quickest and extract the maximum value out of their investment.
All said, it could also be the other way around, where the company is in deep SH** that they need a quick exit plan. Well, time would tell.
