wb1 on test now

In the report from 13-12-07 Drilling was expected to reach TD in 8 days (21st Dec).
So the Wichian Buri-1(Deep) should well and truly have had some 6 or 7 days on test.

This means we should be getting an update any day now....

From the report 0n 13th Dec

"WB-1 (Deep) is targeting an approximately 220 metre thick volcanic section at a depth of
1,503 meters. This interval was penetrated by the original WB-1 well in 1988, resulting in
severe lost circulation with approximately 20,000 bbls of drilling fluid losses associated with
very high mud gas readings. Subsequent sidewall cores taken over this interval indicated oil
staining. The previous operator did not evaluate this deeper volcanic zone in WB-1 but
completed the shallower conventional F sandstone reservoir which tested oil at 500 bopd and
is still producing oil 19 years on."

So at worst get around 500bopd from sandstone reservior, reasonable potential to produce good flows from 200m volcanic zone.

Anticipation is a killer with this one, as Wichian Buri always was always Ted's most exciting target zone and expected big things from this field.

Looking forward to the outcome of this well.
