Well we will see - but something Westpac could pay for by introducing some "Austerity measures" of their own like:
Closing 25+ Regional Branches + sacking staff.
Closing an equal number of suburban branches + ditto regarding staff.
Closing Westpac Helicopter Rescue Copter Service
Reducing first home Buyers lending.
Reducing loans to struggling farmers at reduced interest rates ...
Blah, blah ....
Only, the Govt "prints $$$" not the Banks ...
I think even ScoMo ... could see the logic in such cost cutting measures ....
