Net Tangible Asset of $15.36 per share and Price to NTA ratio is 1.39

Westpac is still gonna make make something like $7 billion plus in net profit this year and pay $2 billion in corporate tax.

Yes they need to pay a large fine for the Austrac debacle and it will mean that there will be a smaller amount available for distribution as dividend to shareholders this year. What happens after that? The fine is a one off item not a recurring item which is going to impact profits for years to come after this year.

Not sure where and how anybody can get the idea that Westpac is going to trade below its BV or below NTA. Bank is well capitalised and is one of the highest rated bank in the world. Talking about S&P, Moodys and Fitch.

No one is stopping anyone from saying that Westpac is going to bankruptcy because it's an old saying that opinions are like a-holes and everyone has one.
