There was a large amount of buying in the aftermarket today. The last trade just before 4.00pm was at $15.62
The aftermarket close at 4.10pm was $16.16 (a jump of 54c).
Am told the aftermarket is where the professionals trade. It also gives an indication of how the market will trade the following day.If a stock closes on its highs for the day there is a good chance the stock will trade higher the following day. Maybe super funds and other funds are pushing for a decent close for the March quarter which ends tomorrow.
