Thats fine, the problem is, that if things continue, we dont know what actions these countries start taking.
The number of infected, and serious or critical is actually irrelevant. Just like here, our numbers were mundane and we inflicted economic damage anyway to curb the issue (again, whether you agree or not is a seperate argument). In fact, I dont think we should have necessarily taken that action.
We did, and the result is there for the world to see. If France, Sweden, UK and europe with rising case numbers start going up exponentially prompting lockdowns (i know greece is facing that too), then we are in for a world of pain.
