I know what you are implying there Inisavenstor, and I agree, but after all these years my C64 still works just fine, my tape deck still works and most of my original tapes can still be read. Cant say the same for the copy tapes I have those are a bit hit and miss but who knows how many times theyve been rerecorded over the past 40 something years.

Oh and they have been under the 2022 flood on the east coast too thats worth mentioning.

But they still occupy a drawer in my bedroom and never come out unless I am at a loose end and have nothing else to do due to having a modern PC that I use for everything.
