I do not know where you have got that info from as we have already developed test discrete mem.
Discrete and Embedded is exactly the same cell structure.
It is the Selector which is under further development so that we can address an individual cell that requires updating without having to update the array.
There is no catching up and the development underway is to ensure that we can address discrete memory >TB.
The way we hope to implement it is that the way we address the memory, will be exponentially quicker than what is available in regards to mem modules, SSD's HDD's etc.
This is where our technology will be far superior to anything available when PIM is introduced as well.
