Being concentrated in a few good companies will generally out-perform the indexes. Some will be duds, but the wins in the others will pay for those. You can't win from the sidelines. You can study and increase your chances of out performance though, and that doesn't mean being an expert in several different industries. I don't understand much of the science behind WBT, or bios, or financials. I don't have the interest to overcome the grind for that right now but I can study the common link between them - the flow of equity. The only good stock is one that goes up.
