Pretty sure its to do with NAND flash @flight11 , Going back to cost to produce the product cheaper it all boils down to margins. It boils down to threats of new technologies emerging cost of production will kill NAND FLASH, Look at how Flash memory sticks were expensive when firsr invented, They milked this to the max, Then along came SD cards more expensive, until Micro SD cards lobbed on the scene. The prices always fall on the redundant technology. Its a good sign for ReRam IMO
The ACE in the hole is weebit is many many times more energy efficient, and faster.
And ticks the cutting down carbon emmisions on a grand scale box, This was my reason for buying into Weebit years ago.
Computers are a major cause of global warming, Weebit has the ability to help fight this problem and make a difference.
So its a no brainer from an environmental perspective.
Fun fact companies that are Fabless make 4 Times as much as the ones with FABS,
