At the last WBT shareholder's meetings in Sydney and Melbourne, Coby made some comments basically saying that he felt that WBT was now the worldwide leader in the race to commercialise ReRam, due in part to our depth of expertise and our ability to provide tailored ReRam solutions to potential customers. He also mentioned 4DS, and the fact that WBT had already developed a megabit array around 5 years ago. I was comparing WBT and 4DS this morning, and noticed some surprising differences in the most recent ASX 4C anns, which seems to bear this out. The numbers basically show that WBT is currently spending multiples of that of 4DS (e.g. for staffing $3.2m (WBT) vs $88k (4DS)), and more than 5x in totals. Also, WBT have a runway of 18 quarters of funding remaining, 4DS have 11 quarters. It looks to me that the level of investment by WBT will only lead to an increase in its lead over 4DS in the race to commercialise any version of ReRam. Any comments from dual holders as to why 4DS has such a low staff cost at $88k/q would be welcome.
