Cannot agree Dr I'm afraid. In the above quote, LNG most deliberately EXCLUDES "its associates" from the disclaimer about not having submitted a takeover offer.

The combined reference to LNG and its associates relates ONLY to the undertaking of due diligence.
However I do agree with you about working the "edges" of what is allowed under a takeover...would you expect anything else from the Chinese?
