It's 100% politics unfortunately, hopefully people will realise how silly this all is after some of these policies have been implemented and they'll be subsequently reversed by the more sane politicians. I'm not that confident though...
Nonetheless, not something I'm too concerned about when it comes to my investment in this company. Mainly because Victoria is tiny in the grand scheme of things so this won't have any tangible impact on demand, but also because these policies take time. Even starting in 2024, it will take many years for new home supply to catch up with existing supply of homes so a majority of homes will still be connected to gas regardless. The same will be true for any other policies that are implemented...
Hopefully by the time it becomes an issue for us people will have come to their senses
