I doubt shareholders should worry as much as you do about your HC posts & buzzwords. The key to the merger is the price paid by WDS (overpaying) & received by STO (aggrieved that it is undervalued).
WDS holds good cards here, & has a good strong growth pipeline, can fund its own growth (& the needs of STO should a taekover/merger eventuate) with cashflow ... STO needs WDS more to enable its own shareholders to realise the value in the business.
