I think there is a real bet to play here that Trump isn’t kidding when he says all hell will break loose in 2 weeks in the Middle East if Hamas does not dissolve. I am of a personal view that for some reasons - it’s not possible for Hamas to disappear. It is most probable intervention must play out to execute the next chapter. This feels like a build up in preparation for what is to come and i think what is to come is already being signaled by the direction of oil. Assuming intervention does play out, it is unlikely its will stop with Hamas. Therefore, the consequence of a wider conflict is much higher given the end of the Houthis will also be on the cards. This just leaves Iran as a sitting duck.The potential disruption to oil flows across the globe over the 12 months could be catastrophic especially if the US war machine kicks into gear.
