I don't see why the big panic and doom & gloom.
It went ex div today!!!
Many of the BHP holders who acquired WDS were simply holding on only for the dividend to dump straight after. The woke are carrying guilt and when they went to confession with the woke Gods they were told that their sins would be forgiven if they sold after the div!!
A 5% drop is not surprising given the merge and wokes waiting for the div. Just remember that someone is also buying at a bargain price and the Northern Hemisphere winter is around the corner with Russia turning off the tap. The UK will look to its colonial daughters for help.
