Somewhat ahead of yourself. The Federal Labor/Greens/Teals Govt is openly committed to the elimination in double quick time of the mining and resources sector, especially oil gas and coal and on. As to those so-called excess franking credits, it does not necessarily mean they will be used by WDS, plenty of precedents for many companies to hoard indefinitely as a reserve for a poor dividend stream. Suggest caution re premature cheering for the WDS dividend policies in the foreseeable future, the inaugural result and dividend from WDS were a slight miss from market consensus in a boom period for commodities and an energy crisis.
