Reminds me of a story where an airman posted a note on the mess hall notice board saying that the CO was a fool and likened him to a person in a shakespearian story who played the part of a fool.

The poster was tracked down and the CO made him read out an apology to all and sundry at the morning parade. The airman ended his apology with "I thank the CO for giving me this opportunity to apologise. Up to now only a small percentage of the camp knew my thoughts. Now everybody knows."
