Mature depreciated baseload coal is going broke in 2024 due to the competition from renewables . The more renewables there are, the less run time baseload gets. The less runtime baseload gets, the less income it receives however it's operating cost remains about the same . Hence , its being driven out of business.
Please explain how a much more expensive version of baseload coal , aka baseload nuclear, will be able to compete with renewables in 2040.
