Interestingly, $500k is a balance the Industry Super Funds very rarely see as many rollout to SMSF's by then and I could cynically suggest that Labor are bowing to IF suggestions to help comrades build up to $500k (and therefore IF's) but over that you're scaled back because you must be (as mentioned above) wealthy and getting an unfair advantage.
