Good observation.
This was also asked to me by another poster previously and I was going to answer that.

It is my opinion that those people in the media are talking in favour of Albemarle. I do not give any credit to what the media says. I believe Albemarle is trying to make some kind of brain wash through the media that we should be happy with $3.
I think $3 is what Albemarle is happy to pay now.
But we should be asking for much more.
If we ask for $3 today, Albemarle will run here and sign all papers straight away IMO.
Therefore they are pushing through the media that if we get $3 we would be happy.

It is obvious to me that if Albemarle made 3 offers then it's highly probable that our management gave them an asking price. I don't know what it is but I believe it should be north of $5.
LTR management is very professional and smart, more importantly all aligned and synchronized with each other and with the shareholders. No one is in a hurry to liquidate its LTR shares in the management and in the shareholders which is now proved by this thread. (There might be some in a hurry including me as I am missing my dream boats
. But I am happy to wait another year or two because the potential is enormous.)

I think what I am saying below now is what TG is probably thinking too.
We are expecting $7 share price next year after we start production.., maybe end of next year, but no later than that.
Therefore we don't need to sell our baby at a cheap price.
We need to be really satisfied by the offer price if they wants us to sell out.
We have a HARD ROCK mining company with a HARD ROCK management and shareholders.
We know from our calculations and forecasts and market trends that WE WILL START PRINTING MONEY IN KV SOON.
So the offer price not our problem.
It's Albemarle's or whoever wants to buy LTR their problem.
We have the asking price right there (whatever it is).
IT'S ALSO NOT ALL ABOUT PRICE, BUT IT'S THE PRIDE AS WELL
Pushing $3 idea through media is really not good.
They think that we are stupid.
They tried very hard that and pushed us very hard by SHORTING for very long time.
They thought that they would scare us.
We didn't scare. It didn't work.
We didn't sell. We hold tight. We won.
Now they see clearly that they hit to a HARD ROCK!
A very good management with very strong shareholder support.
Now they got caught pants down with 200m shorts with big loss.
They wanted to fool us, now we want them to pay the price.
LTR MAY COME UP WITH OTHER MAJOR NEWS SOON
As you have seen on the news from LTR's Facebook page,
LTR is giving signals that we have some INVESTORS VISITING OUR PROJECT. We only could see the guys from behind on the pictures. I'm suspicious that they are Koreans or Japs.
I don't know what is coming but something is coming soon I believe.
It might be a new spod offtake agreement with another major battery producer (SK On from Korea), or with a major Auto EV OEM..!
Or maybe the JV Agreement is about to be signed with LG, SK On, Tesla, Panasonic, Toyota,... FOR THE DOWSTREAM INTEGRATED PROJECT (Lithium hydroxide refinery).
We don't know.
I will patiently wait and see as I always do.
