Credibility regarding what ?
You put forward the claims and ideas of an economist about how wonderful economists are and suggest this somehow proves economists have contributed to the welfare of Human society and life.
Now, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer as always happens in an "economy".

Your other error is in over stating what I said about economists being helpful to society. The Great Depression was in the 1930's - and I said it could be argued that they have not done so much since then.
