I am not too sure how accurate this site is but it provides data on web traffic. The nearmap web traffic data tells a similar story to the google trends.

I am seen the article picked up in some OS online news as well.
Web traffic does not equal revenue... yet. I do believe though if Nearmap was a silicon valley based organisation they would have VCs and hedge funds beating at their door. We are lucky to be able to get on board at such an early stage of their development - google's ipo was $85!
Granted Nearmap will probable not be another google but currently the SP is about a 1000th of that. That is a bit of upside.
Bravo to the Nearmap team for seeing the opportunity and seizing it, and equally my sympathies to all those affected by the floods, though posting these images probably helped some Brisbanites come to terms with what happened to their city.
