Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and micro states such as Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, San Marino have small even tiny populations, with an overall population number stagnating under 10 million since WW2 (There is a reason why Australia was most prosperous and unified when its population was around 10 million).
These aforementioned countries are the most developed and wealthiest on the planet because they choose to have small populations and they are extremely selective about who gets in, and about safeguarding their cultures. We do not care about either.
