What I like about doing a refinery first vs mine is that we can get the cashflow going from the refinery to help fund the mine and get more favourable financing options/less dilution from a JV partner, my hope is the Japanese partner is looking at a takeover in the next couple of years as there is a lot of risk in mining when it comes to construction/commissioning. I have seen this first hand with the company I work for spending almost double their forecast Capex on a new mine.
