I like better , even excellent detection invention - my happiest thought & hope. Sniffer dogs have been able to be trained , relatively swiftly , to detect if someone has covid 19. ( in the same way special beagles can detect drugs , or substances or prohibited fruits ; or if someone going to have a diabetic episode , etc. )

** Therefore — IF dogs can be trained to detect covid 19 by scent , whether the person has symptoms or not ?? , then ., there should be able to be made a specific gas chromatography machine , that also could easily detect covid 19 .
And everyone then say walk through it - at airports , at border controls , at major transit centres , hopefully hospitals . Stadiums and events etc .

This is beyond heartening advances in vaccines development, and better and more lifesaving treatment protocols and knowledge about the virus . Plus broader testing being available .
The virus is dangerous - mostly innocuous, but unpredictably dangerous. And the worst thing is that it is so virulent . So easily transmitted and everyone would quickly get sick - we cannot have this happen. (No one should want to catch it particularly if near dangerous mutations , nor see it spread and gain ‘froth’ quicker passage , and strength )
