It's true, people all want something for nothing. Stop handouts, except for the needy. Make politicians legally, morally responsible for their actions. Make them accountable. People also need to take responsibility for their own actions. We have all just watched how a dud govt walked away and won't even admit they got it wrong, let alone help to fix the problem. We all face an ongoing budget blow out because these same people won't work for the greater good. I dislike politicians, they are hopeless humans with limited abilities, lacking skills and born liars. We really are in a crisis and the press are part of a deep problem in that they promote liars for their own headlines and political bias. We deserve failure to some extent, and we will suffer serious ramifications for it. I am hopeful that the upcoming recession, job losses, falling house prices will wake up the punter, but it's a big call to hope for that when you read the polls. Most folk don't believe anything bad can really happen, but we've already seen the GFC. Politics may well be our greatest enemy for long term prosperity because they keep stacking the system with less productive people and policies to live off a few tax payers. Hope I'm wrong.
