Some questions you may want to look into:
- what was the price of IO back then?
- what stage of urbanisation was China in at that stage?
- how was the ratio of demand/supply of IO back then?
- what was the situation of world markets back then?
etc, etc.
People, for some reason, always compare companies to others but don't dwell into the 'situation' at that time. You could use the same compare tactic with RIO and start 20 years ago.
