That AFR article appeared yesterday, incidentally.

Still, it contains some new information which is of interest for a few reasons:

1.) The acquisition of Silverglass was not uncontested (in fact, it appears it was keenly bid), which means that ORA would have had to pay a very full price for the acquisition (confirming what was already believed to be the case judging from previous updates).

2.) In the case of someone such as a PE entity seeking to "unscramble the egg" (albeit crystalising the impairment in shareholder value from the Silverglass acquisition... although that has been borne by the shareholders at the time of the acquisition), it is instructive to discover that willing buyers of Silverglass probably still exist.

3.) Unfortunately, that the discussions took place more than two months ago, with the presentation pitch being leaked now, suggests to this little pilgrim that the appetite for what is being described in that media article, has cooled somewhat.

Something has to give with this company, but I'm not sure what the AFR article describes, is that something.

The question is if that something occurs at a premium to the current share price, or at a premium [*] to an even lower price.

[*] which might end up being not much different to the current price, anyway.
