Yes. 5 out of the 7 members of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners are likely to block Peidmonts plans. I brought this to light over a year ago - the protesters issues - and the punters typically ignore it preferring to ramp up the stock with the usual nonsense. The water can't be polluted so the whole project could be canned. Plenty of lithium elsewhere. Location has nothing to do with it. The cost of shipping lithium from anywhere in the world is not an issue.
