Awg - yes I think you may have nailed it on the head there. It didn't occur to me that there would be a lot of leverage on Silex however looking at the brokers pages it seems they were offering pretty substantial leverage (comsec 50%) a significant portion of the pain may well have been a flow on from lenders / clients off-loading forced stock.
