More specifically, the ann said "non-executive' board members. Whilst this is the correct priority, it just means that we may be a way off from selecting an executive leader (CEO or MD)which should be chosen and negotiated by a full board.
Ideally, the new non-execs would have already canvassed and debated their choices long before signing on. Yet I suspect the process is also being complicated by the major shareholders and broker who didn't have their ducks lined up before pushing out the incumbents.
Why they didn't plan for this is, frankly, imbecilic.
